What is Community Night?

We are ecstatic that Tuesday, September 14th, will be the very first Community Night hosted by The Foundry. Since we’ve never hosted one before, you may be wondering what’s in store for you on that Tuesday.

For five sessions (Sept 14, Sept 28, Oct 12, Oct 26, and Nov 9), from 6:30-8:30pm, we will enjoy each other’s company around a wonderful meal, and then worship God together through song, prayer, and the exploration of God’s Word through impactful and relevant teaching. This fall, Community Nights will take place at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Meals will be catered by Mission Bell. Various pastors from our partner churches will offer short messages, and the worship team from Alamo Heights will lead us in praise.

Essentially, community night is all about being fed: satisfied by delicious food, comforted by delightful company, and nourished by the divine presence through worship and Scripture. Then, our Foundry groups (which meet in our partner churches) will gather and discuss the message from the recent Community Night and how that truth is revealed in the examples of our lives.
